Plane overruns runway at St. John’s International Airport

After landing at St. John’s International Airport this afternoon, a PAL Airlines charter flight departed the edge of the runway prior to coming to a complete stop.

Passengers and crew were safely disembarked with no apparent injuries. Representatives of the Transportation Safety Board are currently on site and investigating.

The travelling public may experience potential disruptions to flight operations this evening.
