Photo Exhibit ‘A Day in the Life of a Newcomer’ Opens at City Hall

The City of St. John’s opened a photography exhibit featuring the work of students in the Association for New Canadians (ANC) Language School. The exhibit entitled ‘A Day in the Life of a Newcomer to Canada’ features images of newcomers and iconic St. John’s landmarks.

The exhibit was set up to recognize World Refugee Day.

“The City of St. John’s is committed to developing a welcoming community and fostering an inclusive environment for all,” said Mayor Danny Breen. “This photo exhibit is meaningful to the participants, all of whom have come here seeking peace and a new home.”

The exhibit is on display in the Wyatt Hall until June 30 and available for public viewing on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
