One person sent to hospital following stabbing in St John's, Thursday night

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) are investigating a stabbing at the Avalon Mall on Thursday night.

The incident happened shortly before 8 p.m. in the mall's parking lot closest to dollarama.

Operational Patrol Services (OPS) responded to a reports of a fight between two males and arrived to find one of them with injuries from a stab wound.

One of the male's were taken to Health Sciences Centre (HSC) but his condition is not known at this time and the other man sustained minor injuries.

The Royal Newfoundland Constaburay Major Crimes Unit are investigating the incident.
