No injuries after early morning fire in Grand Falls-Windsor

There were no injuries following a residential fire early this morning in Grand Falls-Windsor.
The Grand Falls-Windsor Fire Department responded to a fire call from the occupants of the home who were alerted to the fire near a wood furnace by a smoke alarm.
There is extensive damage to the basement of the home.
Crews brought the fire under control quickly.
