The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has 17 new officers after a swearing-in ceremony.
On Monday, 17 cadets were sworn in as constables of the RNC. The ceremony was a follow-up to the graduation event that occurred at the Atlantic Police Academy in Prince Edward Island just a few weeks ago.
They were presented their breast shields by Chief Patrick Roche, Deputy Chief Colin McNeil and Deputy Chief Stephanie Lagace.
The recruit constables will be assigned a coach officer and next month begin patrol as they start their careers.
