Newfound News Turn 5

It was five years ago today that Newfound News was launched.

In 2016 the media landscape in Newfoundland and Labrador was shrinking with newspapers dwindling and radio programming being centralized in St. John's.

After seeing a need for better news coverage for all of Newfoundland and Labrador, the idea for Newfound News was launched. The goal was simple, to provide news from Labrador to the West Coast, to Central, to the Avalon.

Our belief is that news matters to everyone, regardless of where you live in our province. We believe that all areas should have news coverage. We have made it our goal to provide quality news to all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.

We couldn't have made it this far without the help of our readers and we are eternally grateful! We hope we can count on your support over the next five years and beyond!
