The Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty Association has had a historic turnout for strike mandate voting.
The association said that 93 percent of respondents voted in favour of a strike mandate. The association says it's time for Memorial University to get back to the table and "get serious" about making a fair deal.
Memorial University said in a statement it remains "hopeful that a resolution can be reached through bargaining."
MUN is working on contingency plans to minimize the impacts of any potential strike.
