Man arrested and charged after residential disturbance

The RCMP responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in Spaniard’s Bay that resulted in the arrest of a 38-year-old male.

On Thursday evening RCMP responded to a residence and located two men outside the home. One man reported that he was assaulted.

Police arrested Tommy Dove and he is charged with several offences. He faces charges of assault, resisting arrest, uttering threats, and assaulting a police officer.

At the time Dove was intoxicated and the victim wanted Dove removed from his property. Officers provided Dove with a ride home but found him moments later walking down the road attempting to return to the victim’s property. To prevent further crime, police arrested Dove for being intoxicated in a public place and transported him to the detachment to be lodged for the night.

He appeared in court on Friday and the investigation is continuing.
