Man arrested after assaulting police officer in Corner Brook

On Tuesday afternoon the RNC in Corner Brook was called to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in the area of Wheelers Road.

Responding officers encountered an intoxicated male outside the address upon arrival.

Officers detained the individual due to his level of intoxication and during the detention, the man assaulted the police officer.

The male was charged with assaulting a police officer and was held in custody to be released when sober.
