LPN Charged With Theft of Narcotics


Carbonear General Hospital

A former employee of Eastern Heath, 51-year-old Charmaine Hudson of Salmon Cove, is charged with theft of narcotics, along with charges of fraud and forgery, stemming from an investigation conducted by RCMP.


On July 9, police received a report from Eastern Health indicating that a Licensed Practical Nurse stole narcotics from Carbonear General Hospital and altered hospital records involving the narcotics. This occurred between September of 2019 and May 15, 2020.


Police conducted a criminal investigation which resulted in Hudson being arrested on October 10, 2020.


She is charged with Theft under $5000, Fraud Under $5000, Forgery, Using a forged document, and Falsifying documents.


Hudson is scheduled to appear in Harbour Grace Provincial Court on December 2.
