The largest cruise ship in the world will enter service today.

The Icon of the Seas, built for Royal Caribbean International, will be the lead ship of the Icon class

At 248,663 gross tonnage, Icon of the Seas is the largest cruise ship in the world. The ship has 20 decks and a maximum capacity of 7,600 passengers and 2,350 crew.

It boasts seven swimming pools and six water slides. There is also an aquadome, an ice skating rink and entertainment venue, a beach club featuring the first suspended infinity pool of any ship, the largest waterpark at sea, and more.
