Iran's President killed in helicopter crash

A helicopter crash has claimed the life of the President of Iran.

President Ebrahim Raisi along with the country's foreign minister and seven others were killed when the helicopter they were on crashed in the northwestern area of the country.

The 63-year-old leader was the second most powerful person in the country just behind Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

Raisi was elected in 2021.
