Investment in Energy Efficiency Project in Port Saunders

The Town of Port Saunders will be receiving an electrical heat pump system at the town council office to replace the oil furnace.

The announcement was a joint venture between the federal and provincial governments.

A total of approximately $81,800 will be provided for the project. The Town of Port Saunders is also contributing approximately $29,000.

It is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 135 tonnes annually.
