Inmate causes damage and utters threats at holding cells in St. John's

An 18-year-old who was in custody at the provincial court holding cells is facing more charges after it was alleged that a prisoner who was being escorted from court had uttered threats to Sheriff’s officers and damaged property on Wednesday.


The RNC responded and the male was charged with two counts of breach of his release order, mischief, property damage, and two counts of uttering threats.


The man was held to appear in court.
