Impaired driver charged after driving erratically on the Outer Ring Road

On Friday afternoon the RNC responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on the Outer Ring Road.

A member of the public called the police and indicated that a vehicle was swerving all over the road.

A short time later, police located the vehicle at the owner's address.

The 51-year-old driver, who was the registered owner of the vehicle, was charged with impaired driving and operation of a vehicle while impaired.

The accused was issued a seven-day suspension of his driver’s license and his vehicle was impounded. He was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.
