Hidden Gem: Corner Brook Train Station


Located at 86 Riverside Drive in Corner Brook is the Railway Society of Newfoundland. The train station features a collection of narrow gauge rolling stock from the Newfoundland Railway including steam locomotive No. 593, working diesel-electric locomotive No. 931, snow plow train and various other cars.


For a small fee, you can walk through the trains and see them as if frozen in time.


Locomotive No. 593, otherwise known as the famous “Newfie Bullet,” travelled across Newfoundland from 1921 to 1939.


As you explore the cars, there are dining areas, a kitchen, passenger cars, beds, and so much more!


Whether a train enthusiast or history buff, this should be on your list of must-see places!
