Haggie and Osborne switch roles in cabinet shuffle

In a surprise cabinet shuffle today, Premier Andrew Furey made two changes to his cabinet.

John Haggie who has been the Minister of Health for seven years will become the new Minister of Education.

Tom Osborne will take over as Minister of Health from the education portfolio. He was the Minister of Health back in 2006.

Furey said, "Ministers Haggie and Osborne have been instrumental in navigating the province through the pandemic and supported our government’s vision to strengthen our communities and improve service delivery for the benefit of all Newfoundlanders and Labradorians."
