Government reaches tentative agreement with Registered Nurses’ Union

The Provincial Government has reached a tentative collective agreement with the Registered Nurses’ Union Newfoundland and Labrador.

Details on the collective agreement will not be released at this time since it is subject to ratification by 5,800 members across the province.

In the coming weeks, the union will present the tentative collective agreement to the membership for a vote.

Tom Osborne, Minister of Health and Community Services said, "This is a significant step towards retention of nurses, which will help provide stability in the health care system. We continue to take significant steps to recruit new nurses, and this tentative collective agreement will help by providing a competitive compensation package."
