Gordon Lightfoot dies at 84
Singer-songwriter and guitarist Gordon Lightfoot has died. He was 84 years old.
The iconic artist achieved international success in the genres of folk, folk-rock, and country music. In the 1690s and 1970s, he helped to define the folk-pop sound.
He has been referred to as Canada's greatest songwriter.
Several of Lightfoot's albums achieved gold and multi-platinum status internationally.
Lightfoot was married three times. Lightfoot wed for a third time on December 19, 2014. He has five children.
