French naval ship welcomes public in St. John's

The French naval ship the PSP Fulmar was in port in St. John's today.

From 10:00 am to noon, the vessel was open to the public. There was a lot of public interest in boarding the boat.

To get on board, visitors had to use a gangway and getting aboard was no easy feat.

On the ship, the crew provided information on the ship and visitors were permitted access to the bridge and the deck.

This patrol boat provides protection for the exclusive economic zones in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.

This is probably the last chance people will have to board the ship since it is due to be scheduled to be replaced in 2027.
