Former Chief Justice appointed to conduct review of Citizens’ Representative report
Derek Green the former Chief Justice of Newfoundland and Labrador, has been appointed to conduct a review of the findings and report of the Citizens’ Representative regarding the Chief Electoral Officer Bruce Chaulk.
The review will consist of an analysis of the report. Green may make inquiries of, or invite submissions from, persons determined necessary to fulfil the responsibilities under the referral.
The terms of reference specify whether an analysis of the report are appropriate or desirable in the circumstances, a recommendation whether action contemplated under the Elections Act may be considered appropriate, and a recommendation whether any further investigations, proceedings or analyses are appropriate or desirable.
