Fire on ferry off the coast of Prince Edward Island

Fire crews and the RCMP are responding to a fire on a ferry off the coast of Prince Edward Island.

There is a fire on board the MV Holiday Island operated by Bay Ferries Limited.

The fire is near the Wood Island Ferry Terminal which is currently closed.

As a result, the remainder of the ferry crossings has been cancelled.

The public is asked to avoid the area to allow first responders to do their work.
