Fees could be returning to city’s parklet program

At the St. John's city council meeting this week council will look at the possibility of reinstating some fees associated with the City’s parklet program.

All fees were waived for businesses applying for and constructing parklets during the pandemic and due to the Downtown Pedestrian Mall.

Several fees were waived to help businesses during a time when seating capacity was significantly reduced due to public health social distancing restrictions.

If approved, the cost of leasing an average parking space will be approximately $385 per month.
