Federal Government Temporarily Waives One-Week Waiting Period for EI Claims

The Federal Government is temporarily waiving the one-week waiting period for Employment Insurance (EI) claimants.

This is for those who establish a new claim between January 31, 2021, and September 25, 2021.

This includes claimants of regular, fishing and special benefits.
