Driver owing $17K in fines arrested in St. John's

At 9:30 pm on Wednesday, the RNC conducted a traffic safety stop in St. John's.

The 68-year-old male driver was arrested for driving while prohibited and having over $17,000 in outstanding fines. The driver was also ticketed for failure to have a valid insurance policy.

The driver’s vehicle was impounded and the accused was detained and held to appear before a judge in the morning.
