Driver Clocked Going 155 km/h Outside Corner Brook #nltraffic

The RNC in Corner Brook conducted a traffic safety stop westbound on the TCH near Steady Brook on Saturday afternoon after a vehicle was clocked on radar driving 155 km/h in a 100 km/h zone.

A 37-year-old male resident of Corner Brook was charged under the Highway Traffic Act for speeding in excess of 51 km/h over the posted speed limit, producing an insurance policy while not in effect, driving a vehicle without a valid insurance policy in effect, driving while suspended, operating an unregistered vehicle and failing to produce registration.

Due to the excessive speed over 51 km/h and driver was suspended, the male was issued an additional 7-day driving suspension and his vehicle was impounded for 30 days.
