Crosbie Promises New Deals With Ottawa if Elected #nlpoli

PC Leader Ches Crosbie says it’s time for Newfoundland and Labrador to get a fair deal with Ottawa.

Crosbie promised that if elected his government would work to secure a new fiscal arrangement with Ottawa, renegotiate the Equalization Formula, ask Ottawa to take an Equity Stake in Muskrat Falls, and negotiate Joint Management of the fishery.

“Newfoundland and Labrador has long been an afterthought in Confederation. Now, the province is at the brink. Five years of handshakes and back scratching have done nothing to improve the lives of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians. It’s time to change negotiators and fight for a New Deal with Ottawa,” said Crosbie.
