COVID-19 outbreak at Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre

Western Health has increased visitor restrictions at Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

A significant number of staff and residents have tested positive for the virus.

The first positive case was reported on December 31, since then testing and investigation has been ongoing, resulting in the identification of additional positive staff and residents.

As of today, 25 of 107 residents who live at the home have been diagnosed with COVD-19. There are also 22 staff members who have tested positive.
