Construction on new pump track at Quidi Vidi Park to start this week

Construction will begin this week on a recreational pump track at Quidi Vidi Park.

The pump track will be located is in the green space near the existing dog park on The Boulevard.

During construction, the area will be fenced off with no public access to the area. Heavy equipment will require occasional access to The Boulevard.

Access will be maintained to the dog park, walking trail and parking area.

A pump track is a progressive circuit where riders use an up and down pumping motion to propel the bike forward instead of pedalling. It is suitable for bikes, scooters, skateboards and wheelchairs.

The project is expected to be completed in October.
