Communication issues mount as internet and cell phone services go down

There are several communication problems across the province impacting several providers.

Telus and Koodo customers have reported issues making phone calls. Eastlink is experiencing internet problems, some customers have no internet access and some users are reporting slow internet speed.

The RNC has been receiving 911 calls for issues that are not an emergency. Police are asking people to stop calling 911 to see if their phone is working.

Last night the RNC communications centre in St. John's and Corner Brook was experiencing technical difficulties and was unable to accept incoming calls from cell phones.

The outages come as the province is getting battered by snow, rain, and strong winds.
