Collision results in woman arrested for drunk driving

On Saturday evening at 7:40 pm, RNC responded to a collision in the center city area of St. John’s.

Responding officers believed the driver of one of the vehicles to be impaired and she was detained for a breath test.

The 58-year-old woman blew more than twice the legal limit and has been charged with impaired driving, and driving over 80mg.

Her car was impounded and the woman was released to appear in court at a later date.
