Changes to the Federal Fuel Charge coming July 1

As of July 1, there will be changes to the Federal Fuel Charge due to an increase in the Carbon Tax.

As a result, the Public Utilities Board will reflect these changes in an extraordinary adjustment to maximum prices for gasoline and diesel. There will be no change to the maximum prices for heating fuels on July 1 since those prices do not include applicable taxes.

At this time it is anticipated that any Carbon Price Adjustment implemented by the Board would be effective July 6, the first regular adjustment after July 1, 2023.
