Canada and Ukraine provide update on International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children

Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly and Andriy Yermak Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine provided an update on the work of the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.

Launched in Kyiv last month, the coalition is a joint initiative by Ukraine and Canada to coordinate efforts and cooperation between Canada, Ukraine and partner states to address the deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children by Russia.

So far, 33 countries have become active members of the coalition and will combine their efforts to reunite Ukrainian children with their families and ensure their safe reintegration into families and communities.

Canada and Ukraine, along with the members of the coalition, will continue to coordinate efforts to facilitate the return of Ukrainian children and to ensure the protection of their rights and freedoms.
