BTS member enlisting in South Korean Military

Back in November, there were rumours that BTS member Jin, the eldest member who will be turning 30 years old next month would be enlisting in the South Korean military for mandatory training.

BTS is a South Korean boy band that formed in 2010 and is known around the world.

All able-bodied men in South Korea between the ages of 18 and 35 are required to complete mandatory military training by national law. The training period varies from 18 to 21 months depending on what branch of the military members are assigned to; whether it be for the navy, army, or air force.

Though, there are exemptions for artists, athletes, and for other important South Korean citizens. It was announced today that Jin will be enlisting in the military on December 13th.
