Big jump expected in gas prices tonight

It will be another week of fuel increases.

Dan McTeague predicts that gasoline will rise by 5.8 cents per litre tonight. Gas is trading for about 168.5 on the Avalon, with the increase in prices, gas will be near 174.3 on the Avalon.

Gas is currently 171.0 in most of Central, 169.2 in the Corner Brook area, and 175.1 in Western Labrador.

Diesel is expected to jump by 5.3 cents per litre.
