Bay Roberts Woman Arrested After Speeding Through School Zone #nltraffic


A 53-year-old Bay Roberts woman was arrested by RCMP Traffic Services East Thursday after she was stopped for speeding in a school zone.


An officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle travelling 78 km/h through a school zone in Bay Roberts.


The driver showed signs of drug impairment. She was arrested and was transported to the detachment where she completed a drug influence evaluation.


Officers await the results of the testing to determine if charges of drug-impaired driving are appropriate. The woman’s driver’s licence was suspended and the vehicle was seized and impounded.
