5 new COVID-19 cases, portions of Northern Peninsula moved to Alert Level 3

There are five new COVID-19 cases today. All are in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region. There are seven new presumptive positive cases. Two are in the Western Health region and five in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region.
Premier Andrew Furey announced today that Newfoundland and Labrador will have a vaccine passport.
Due to the recent cluster on the Northern Peninsula, several towns on the Northern Peninsula East are moving to Alert Level 3 and in those areas, masks are once again mandatory.
There is one person in hospital and 276,955 tests have been administered.
Of the 125 cases between July 1 to Sept 7, 49 were on a ship and excluded. 28 were fully vaccinated, 12 were partially vaccinated and 36 were not vaccinated.
