494 new COVID-19 cases since Monday

There are 494 new COVID-19 cases since the last advisory.

There are 248 new confirmed cases today and on Tuesday there were 246 new cases.

The breakdown of the 248 cases for today is as follows:

• Eastern Health 150

• Central Health 51

• Western Health 40

• Labrador-Grenfell Health 7

There are currently 1,824 active cases. There have been 200 new recoveries.

18 people are in hospital, 12 in non-critical care and six in critical care.

Newfoundland and Labrador is reporting its sixty-fourth death from COVID-19. The individual is a male over the age of 80 in the Central Health region.
