45 new cases in Newfoundland today



Dr. Rosann Seviour, Acting Chief Medical Officer of Health announced that there are 45 new cases of COVID-19 today.


There are 18 new presumptive positive cases. Two people are in hospital. A total of 294,264 tests have been administered.


Of the new cases, three are in the Eastern Health region, 39 are in the Central Health region, and three are in the Western Health region.


Ten cases are connected to New World Island Academy in Summerford.


There are currently 109 active cases of COVID-19 in the province.


Twillingate will move to alert level three as of midnight tonight.
