Man Charged After Allegedly Chasing Moose in Vehicle #nltraffic

A 25-year-old Gander man is facing a charge under the Provincial Wildlife Act for harassing big game following a video that circulated over social media on January 23, involving a truck with two occupants allegedly chasing a moose.

Two men presented themselves at the detachment and provided details to police identifying themselves as being the two individuals captured on the video.

The accused is scheduled to attend court on April 14.

The investigation is continuing and police are considering possible charges that could apply to the passenger of the vehicle.
