Man Found Operating Side-by-Side Impaired

On Sunday morning the RCMP on patrol in Makinsons spotted a side-by-side off-road vehicle on the roadway.

Officers spoke with the driver, who was exhibiting signs of impairment.

The 62-year-old man from Makinsons was arrested for impaired driving and brought to Bay Roberts Detachment where he provided breath samples that were over the legal limit.

The man was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date.

His driver’s licence was suspended.
