National Housing Day

November 22nd was National Housing Day.

The Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development and Minister Responsible for the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation Lisa Dempster recognized National Housing Day.

Since 1998, November 22 has been recognized throughout the country as a day to raise awareness about housing and homelessness and highlight how governments and community partners can work together to address these needs.

This past April, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador signed the 2019-2028 Bilateral Agreement that will provide a total of $270.6 million to help preserve, renew and expand social and community housing for families and individuals throughout the province.
