Trudeau Wears Bulletproof Vest at Rally #elxn43

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau appeared at a rally in Mississauga on Saturday, but the rally was anything but typical.

Trudeau typically wears a rolled-up shirt and loosened necktie. This time he was wearing a bulletproof vest and his security detail was heavily increased including Mounties wearing green tactical gear and carrying backpacks with weapons.

The rally was delayed by about 90 minutes following what is only being described as a security threat.

There were 2,000 supporters in the room. Trudeau did manage to shake hands with a few of them.

His wife was supposed to be present but did not appear at the rally.

The RCMP, which decides the level of security, did not comment and the Liberal Party also would not comment.
