Green Party Removes Candidate After Islamophobic Post #CDNpoli

The Federal Green Party has dropped their candidate in the riding of Simcoe North in Ontario after an Islamophobic Facebook post was discovered.

Erik Schomann posted to Facebook suggesting to send a pig carcass to Muslims.

It was in reference to the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten’s decision to publish 12 images of the prophet Muhammed back in September of 2005.

There were widespread protests around the world when the comics were puslished.
