Audit Of Ambulance Operators

The Minister of Health John Haggie says that there will be an audit of all private and community ambulance operators in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Grant Thornton has been contracted to complete a staffing and salary audit of all private and community ambulance operators.

A similar review of all regional health authority run services has already been started.

Information to be collected includes ambulance staffing lists, timesheets and payroll records from April 1, 2016, to September 30, 2017. The audit is expected to take approximately nine weeks to complete.

A final report will be presented to the Provincial Government and the regional health authorities. The report will be made public.
