17 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend

Over the weekend there were 17 new cases of COVID-19. There were nine cases on Saturday and eight cases on Sunday.

Central Health continues to lead the province with the highest number of cases. There are 131 active cases. Eastern Health has 15 active cases, there are three cases in the Western Health region and no cases in the Labrador-Grenfell Health region.

There are six new presumptive positive cases in the province.

On Sunday there were 28 new recoveries, two in the Eastern Health region and 26 in the Central Health region and 1,638 people have recovered.

There are 12 people in hospital because of COVID-19, seven in non-critical care and five in critical care.

310,607 tests have been administered so far.
