12 New COVID-19 Cases


There are 12 new cases of COVID-19 in NL. All the new cases are in the Eastern Health Region.

There are now 186 cases in Eastern Health, 3 in Central Health, 1 in Western Health and 5 in the Labrador-Grenfell Region. This brings the total number of cases to 195.

11 have recovered, 11 are in hospital, 4 of which are in ICU.

About 90 percent of COVID-19 transmission cases are from people who have symptoms.

Self-isolation protects others says Dr. Fitzgerald.


Premier Ball says that complacency is our enemy in this fight. He also added once again the virus can only move if you move.


Minister Haggie says if we don't delay the peak of COVID-19 the healthcare system can be overwhelmed.
