Corner Brook man arrested following assault

A Corner Brook man is in custody after an assault in the west coast city.

At 6:46 pm on Sunday police were called to a residential neighbourhood near the waterfront for an unknown trouble call.

Upon police arrival, they determined that the 27-year-old male had committed an assault. He was also arrested for breaching a police officer undertaking.

The male was held to appear in court this morning.
