Tentative Agreement with Physicians Ratified

The provincial government and the Newfoundland and Labrador Medical Association has reached and agreement that has been ratified by members.

The agreement includes investments over $32 million per year in new funding to ensure improved physician services in the province. Highlights of the agreement include Atlantic parity for physicians, a bonus program for remote sites and a provincial locum recruitment program.

The agreement will be released once it is signed by the two parties.
