Subtropical Storm Wanda has formed about 1500 km west of The Azores.
The storm poses no threat to Newfoundland.
Hurricane names for the Atlantic Bason go from A to W and since Wanda has now formed we will move to a supplemental list of names of tropical cyclones in lieu of the Greek Alphabet.
The names are determined by the World Meteorological Organization.
If another storm forms it will be Adria.
